To God Be The Glory! When you reap the harvest of your land, do - TopicsExpress

To God Be The Glory! When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleaming of your harvest. Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I Am The Lord your God. Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not deceive one another. Do not swear falsely by My Name and so profane The Name of your God. I Am The Lord. Do not defraud or rob your neighbor. Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight. Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but Fear your God. I Am The Lord. Do not pervert Justice; do not show partiality to the poor of favoritism to the great, but Judge your neighbor fairly. Do not go about spreading slander among your people. Do not do anything that endangers your neighbors Life. I Am The Lord. Do not hate your fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but Love your neighbor as yourself. I Am The Lord. Keep My Decrees. Gods Peace And Blessings Be Upon Each And Every HouseHold. Harvest: This law was a protection for the poor and the foreigner and a reminder that God owned the land; the people were only the caretakers. Laws such as this showed Gods generosity and liberality. As people of God, the Israelites were to reflect His Nature and Characteristics in their attitudes and actions. In The Bible Ruth and Naomi were two people who benefited from this Merciful Law. God instructed the Hebrews to provide for those in need. He required that the people leave the edges of their fields unharvested, providing food for travelers and the poor. It is easy for us in these current times to ignore the poor or forget about those who have less than we do. But God desires our generosity and charity to others, and expects us to provide to those in need out of the abundance that He has provided to us. We can always say (and often do) to ourselves that He has given us, just enough for our own needs, but in that selfish thought we must rethink to ourselves that there are those in our world with nothing, those living on the streets or in shelters with no real homes of their own...and when we look at all that God has given to us. through those types of eyes...we are able to find ways to pass on His Blessings to others in His Creation. When we give of ourselves from that which we have... It opens the door for us to receive a ten fold Blessing from The Lord, because of our unselfish kindness! In what ways can you leave the edges of your field for those in need? Charity is much more than money... it is also provided in Great Measure By Deeds. In ALL That You Do... Do To The Glory Of God! Peace Be With You. November 14th 2013 Location Ocotillo Hills
