To Jon Bond the first XXL male to introduce me into the harsh reality of fighting. Ill never forget that grown man left hook, the first time we sparred at SBG. That punch changed my life! Haha. I literally thought I was going to die before the bell went. Then the following months you spent giving me personal pointers on how to counter your style, no one does that! I am grateful and proud to have had the opportunity to call you coach and training partner. I thank you for the personal calls and texts after difficult training sessions or fights, sometimes just to consolidate me or give pointers; They were as deeply appreciated as your messages of congratulations or well done. Your words to me before any fight, and your preparation process and demeanour , were a testament to your second to none people skills and ability to understand and tap into the mental state of your Charge and give them what was required in that instance, which was phenomenal. As well as the time you put into me, and every lesson you taught me, you were a source of inspiration and a role model to me and many others alike. Your absence is a great loss to any team, organisation or place of employment. For were not just loosing a coach but a big brother and friend too... Thank you for everything and I wish you good luck and success on your new adventure. Till we meet again, Stay the selfless and inspiring Mr Bond that we all know and love. Good Luck Brother!!!
