To Pastor Brian C Houston Personally Ive never listened to a sermon by the Australian preacher who I share my name with. Truthfully Ive never listened to Hillsong Music nor have I ever even met any of the folks involved. BUT In these last few days Ive been getting emails intended for Mr Houston because apparently something he said has set off a knee jerk reaction from the people who take the fun out of fundamentalism. I assume these folks are followers of Jesus? But the strange thing is their emails are very angry, hateful, rude and usually anonymous. Really not like Jesus at all in my view. Even though these emails are not directed at me personally (clearly the people concerned are not taking the time to check which unfortunate soul they are addressing/) I can feel the fear and the hate oozing from each line. It shocks me and wounds my spirit. I have no problem folks sharing their opinions, but when they send these kind of emails they make me feel sorry for Brian C Houston and all the folks who have to filter this kind of hate mail on his behalf. SO. My point is that if being like Jesus means the religious spirit wants to crucify you then Brian C Houston and his team must be very like Jesus indeed. To them I say; Keep going, press on and dont quit what you are doing, because you must be doing something right to get this kind of reaction! I dont know you but I applaud you, respect you and encourage you Brian ® Houston from Ireland, living in America and never been to the Antipodes
