To Receive, You Must Give TITHING: to the Lord goes all the way - TopicsExpress

To Receive, You Must Give TITHING: to the Lord goes all the way back to Adam and Eve. We see it first with Cain and Abel bringing their first fruits to sacrifice before the Lord. The Patriarch of the Jewish nation, Abraham, paid tithes to the King (Melchizedek) of Salem (city later named Jerusalem). Israel paid tithes to the Temple priests. The word tithe means 1/10th. Ten percent of every piece of money that comes into our hands belong to God. God invites us in Malachi 3:10 to TEST HIM by paying tithes and watch Gods blessings come back to us. There are only 2 choices when it comes to tithes: We pay the tithes into Gods kingdom and work; or, we steal from God! Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. Proverbs 11:24-25 (NLT). OFFERINGS: to the Lord can ONLY begin AFTER the tithes have been given to God. Gods richest blessings come to us from offerings to the Lord. So lets not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we dont give up. Galatians 6:9 (NLT). Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. Psalms 126:5 (NLT). Remember this--a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NLT). As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good. 2 Thessalonians 3:13 (NLT). Dont be misled--you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Galatians 6:7 (NLT).
