To all, This is Lenny Murphy, Leslyes oldest son. I am writing to inform you of the horrible news regarding my mom. Last night around 2 am, my mom took a fall in front of my parents house. As many of you know, she has battled insomnia for years and she was outside at the time smoking a cigarette. She apparently fell down the front steps of the house and was knocked unconscious when her head hit the sidewalk. She was not discovered until sometime after 4am by the local paper deliver person. My father was asleep in the house at the time and was woken up by the local police who arrived with the ambulance. By the time they got her to Suburban Hospital, she was gone. The doctors believe she was in no pain when she died. My father and I are sorting out the details of the funeral, which will be here in Rockville, Maryland. Right now, I am assuuming that there will be a viewing at Pumphreys in Rockville on Sunday night, followed by an internment on Monday at Gate of Heaven Cemetary. As soon as I know more regarding services, I will send a follow up to this email. Please keep my mom and dad in your thoughts and prayers.
