To all my FB Friends. I have to take a moment to share something. - TopicsExpress

To all my FB Friends. I have to take a moment to share something. Its going to be a long one so sit back and relax and bear with me as I ramble. I hope you all have someone in your life who you know that no matter what, they have your back. That you can tell them anything and they will still love you. A person who no matter what you are going through it just takes a phone call or a text or hug or even just a smile to make you feel like you can make it through anything. My person is my sister Wendy Gerber. We may not have always seen eye to eye on our sister journey together. I may have even thrown a brick at her head when we were kids, allegedly. Ok. I did. It was a small brick, but a brick all the same. But over the last several years weve grown closer than I could have ever hoped for. She is my best friend and I love her way way more than I ever tell her. Well my best friend is about to start on a new journey. About 3+ years ago she took a position managing an Auntie Annes pretzel store in Elverson PA. Yes, I have a Twisted Sister. To say she excelled in the position is an understatement. Lets put it this way. Auntie Annes awards an incentive trip to their store managers each year. Its an award recognizing excellence in management. Only 25 managers nationwide receive this award each year. Not only did Wendy win this award her first year, but every year since. The company has never had a manager win three years in a row. Yup, that is how good she is. Well my big sis, after years of going from one dead end job to another has finally found that job that truly makes her happy and she is damn good at it too. Too good, because in just a couple of weeks she is starting a new position in the Auntie Annes world. She is now a regional manager of 9 stores!!! Wow! I am so very proud of my big sis. Her years of working her tail off have finally paid off. Not only the last three years with Auntie Annes but all the years before that. She has finally gotten the recognition she deserves and a job that she can be proud of for so many reasons. There is just one catch. The job is in Tennessee. So yes, in a couple of weeks my sis is moving to Tennessee! I know I will miss having her right here but I know distance will not keep us apart. I am so incredibly, unbelievably, overwhelmed with pride and excitement for you Wen. I know accepting this job was an extremely hard decision for you. It is a huge life change taking you from friends and family and the world you know, but Wen if we dont change we dont grow. If we dont take risks we dont get reward. If we dont try we cant succeed. Life is a journey. We dont always know where we are headed or why but youll never know if you dont take that first step. Embrace the journey Sis. You will be amazing. I love you so much and I am so proud to be your sister.
