To all my LGBTQ family and allies of Athens: Im still a little disturbed by my cab experience downtown tonight with 5 Star. Long story short...after describing where my destination was, just four miles away from downtown, the cab driver looked me up and down and said nah and pulled off. Now idk if he just didnt want to drive 4 miles away and make some money or if it was the fact that I was in drag...odds are it was the latter of the two. Lets just say that I will be REFUSING to ride 5 Star Cab Services from now on. And although I failed to get his cab number I will be making a phone call about my experience and make them aware of the discrimination I received. I dont know about you, but I will not stand for a business that treats me and my family as though we are scum and trash. End-of-rant. #boycotting5startaxi #WHOSWITHME?!?!
