To all my baseball loving brethen, this is not a trivial matter but one that demeans one of the games greatest heroes. The Milwaukee Brewers nominated Ryan Braun for the Roberto Clemente Award. The award honors someone who best exemplifies the game, sportsmanship and community. As most recall, Roberto died during a relief mission to earthquake damaged Nicaragua on a plane he chartered. He also was known to help other players acclimating to the States and worked with MLK. There seems to be an online campaign to embarrass the league by trying to get everyone to vote for Braun. Please do not do this. Thank you!
