To all my friends and colleagues on FB, you can no longer know me and justify being bad diners in a restaurant. As much as I love Ad Astra Comix, Ive been a server for 10 years, and some stuff you just shouldnt do: - Dont order food from me and NOT mention you have an allergy. Your allergy, your responsibility. Saying you Dont know what youre allergic to is just unacceptable. Its OK, you joke, were near a hospital. Do you understand that servers can lose their jobs over someone having an allergic reaction? Depending on ones manager and their ability to listen to reason, it MAY NOT MATTER that YOU were the one that didnt communicate properly. It will still be seen as the servers fault. Youve been advised. End of work rant.
