To all of my ZIN, ZJ and ZES FB Friends.... Your help and expertise is needed! We need volunteers to bring the joy of Zumba® to hospitalized children around the world, to spread awareness about Soaringwords AND to host events to benefit Soaringwords. I am sure many of you have heard of the amazing non profit organization Soaringwords.... their mission is to lessen the impact of serious illness on hospitalized children and their families and to help foster feelings of resiliency, empowerment, altruism and hope. One of their big initiatives is the Soaringwords+Zumba® collaboration which brings free monthly Zumba® classes to pediatric hospitals. This is supported by the Zumba® Home Office and they are excited about the hospital program expanding all over the world! I was recently hired to be the Soaringwords+Zumba® Relationship Manager and I will be helping ZIN members around the globe be part of this wonderful endeavor. I am honored and humbled to be part of such a special organization doing wonderful things to help ill children and their families. Company Overview Soaringwords was started by Lisa Honig Buksbaum after three experiences with death and illness in her family. Within a ten-month period, her only sibling died suddenly, her dad had his second bout of cancer and was hospitalized for several months, and her oldest child was catastrophically ill. Today, her father and son have recovered. She has devoted the past eleven years to launching and sustaining Soaringwords. Description Soaringwords’ vision is to be the leading resource and destination for ill children, their families and the extended community, helping them to know that “the power to heal” resides inside each of them.
