To all of my friends, family, and fans of Penntera: It comes with - TopicsExpress

To all of my friends, family, and fans of Penntera: It comes with a tough decision, a lot of thinking, and a ton of talks, to make this announcement, but the time has come: I will be stepping down from PENNTERA at the end of March. The decision wasnt easy by any means, but is 110% agreeable and amicable with myself and the guys in the band. We had lengthy discussions prior to making my announcement - its a great mutual respect we all have for one another, and were all on the same page with this, which is very cool. Cut right to the point - I never imagined the amazing and early successes of Marshall Law, and how much we would be playing out. At this point, were turning shows away, and still ending up with 4-6 shows a month. In past, even with Beyond The Scar, Penntera was a side project for me as we (Penntera) werent playing out a lot, and it was easy to manage both bands. But in this case, its a double-whammy: My schedule is getting harder and harder to work around, and a growing number of opportunities are coming Pennteras way. In short - I cant, and dont want to be, the one to hold those guys back. Penntera is a growing project, and the hard reality is that no one can commit to two bands on a full time basis. One thing is for certain - this wasnt an easy decision for me, or for the guys in the band. Its not a matter of one band over the other, but rather Baltimore is my home, and I cant back down from a project that I set in motion and is gaining ground every day. Still, metal is in my blood, everyone knows that, and its going to be tough not having that release on-stage when I go batshit crazy with Penntera. But, I know its the right thing to do, and Im at peace with it. To the fans of Penntera, far and wide - thank you all for your support, your hospitality, and your welcoming me...time and time again. Ive met SO many awesome people (way too many to name), great metal fans, and huge supporters of this band. You havent seen the last of me, but one things for sure: Ill always be appreciative of each and every one of you. To Rob Meyer, Steve-o MF Graham, and the entire crew at RSM Productions - thank you for making me loud and proud each and every time you cranked it up for us. You guys are top notch, and I appreciate all of your hard work. Finally, to my brothers in the band: Eric Dengler, Andrew Davidson, Ace Mccloud, and even Nate Showalter back in the day - I fu**ing love you all. You are some of the most talented, fun, energetic guys Ive ever shared the stage with. I know its not the end, but I will miss taking that stage when the intro came on...the energy was always off-the-charts. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to fulfill a dream of mine: performing in a band that pays tribute to one of my favorite bands of all time. I always felt like I WAS Phil when I was up there with you guys, and Ill always be grateful for that. Sorry about it being so winded, but its important to me. This is a tough decision, on all of our ends, but we know the timing is right. Now, lets move on to more exciting news: No one leaves a band on amicable terms without a farewell show. So, ironically enough, I will take the stage one last time with Penntera on Saturday, March 29th at Fat Daddys in York, PA. Yep, the very place I performed for the very first time, umpteen years ago. Its perfect. No supporting acts, no opening band, just non-stop Penntera. Every damn song in our library, and who knows - maybe even a few surprises. One thing is for certain - there will be NOTHING left on that stage when were done. I hope to see some of my Baltimore friends jaunt up I-83 and join me and the boys for this killer show. (Hell, theres a hotel right next door. Road trip!) Of course, Ill be looking forward to seeing the Penntera faithful out there in the crowd, going apeshit with me and the fellas. Thank you all again...see you on March 29th at Fat Daddys. Lets f**k some shit up.... KMFG
