To all our Facebook Friends and Followers, I thought I would make a post to let you know that the Stagecoach Motor Inn was not part of the fire, however across the street from us was not so fortunate. The blaze broke out sometime around 8:00 p.m. on December 30th somewhere in the old Mercantile Building now called the Mart. The fire completely destroyed the building and spread to the building to the west where Western Ledgers and Marlows Fly Shop were located and as other businesses in the back as well. It appears that building is mostly destroyed. The fire also claimed Kit Stewarts Trappline Gallery. The Dubois Volunteer Fire Department led the efforts and did an amazing job in controlling the blaze from spreading to the rest of the business downtown. Hats off to all the fire fighters involved and be sure to give them a pat on the back for doing what they do. Please say a prayer for all of our neighbors and friends affected.
