To all our friends - we have made it to Watson Lake, Yukon Territory. Some minor glitches - the differential seemed to be still getting too hot - but our mechanic son-in-law Richard said it would be OK - just had to get a few miles. He was right. All seems normal with it after about 200 miles. It wasnt REAL hot but we were worried. Then we had the tires rotated in Wasilla and finally hit the road on Thursday. Picked our 20 foot trailer up in Glennallen and headed for Tok. We had dinner at Fast Eddys and spent the night in their parking lot. Got on the road early Friday morning and drove to Whitehorse. Had to spend a little extra time there this morning to find someone to readjust our load leveler hitch and get a bearing cover for one of the trailer wheels. Looks like we may finally be free of the Spell of the Yukon. Only 2,993 miles to Pauls place in Bennett, Iowa and 3,396 miles to Judys in Beavercreek, Ohio. That puts us 1,097 from Seward.
