To all the candidates running for Chief and Council: May you all remember the promises you are proposing when successful and in a position of leadership as HFN Chief and Council. It is time that the HFN membership is prioritized and are led by honourable leaders who will actualize positive change. Provide leadership which is ethical, sound, educated, and promotes growth, capacity, fairness, and equality for all HFN members. I agree with a member who posted that it is important to vote for candidates that are credible, viable, and capable of ensuring our nation is represented to the best of ones ability. Undoubtedly all candidates feel they can fulfil this requirement. It is up to membership to vote for the candidates who they believe fulfil the requirements to lead HFN. I have strived to continuously educate myself with the intention of helping First Nation people. I would be honoured to focus my attention towards helping the HFN membership and create opportunities that will advance the HFN community and membership. The potential for creating business ventures within the community is highly possible. The opportunity for growth and development for HFN can be influenced and actualized by leadership that promotes community healing and community development. Leadership must promote accountability at every level to effect positive change and optimal outcomes. Achieving these goals and proving a strong, transparent, accountable, and trustworthy leadership for HFN is a priority which I plan to actualize if I am successfully voted for the Chief of HFN.
