To all those who were blessed to know Tsogo, I pray this brings some measure of comfort... Last night for the first time in many months, I sang/played this song that I wrote in 2006 when a friend of mine died from cancer. I sang it last night about an hour BEFORE I learned that Tsogo had passed away from cancer (leukemia). I usually sing in the chorus: She saw Him face to face THAT day, but last night I sang, She saw Him face to face THIS day... Little did I know at that time that Tsogo had JUST seen Him face to face... Light Breaks Through Verse 1: So much pain, so much sorrow It’s hard to find hope for tomorrow So much suffering all around us So much death that confounds us Disease caused another to perish Thank God she knew what to cherish ‘Cause someone had gone and told her Of the Love that ever holds her. Chorus: Light breaks through and shines His rays Darkness has to flee away She saw Him face to face that day She felt Him lift her head and say: “There’s no more dying, no more tears, No more crying, no more fears. ‘Cause I died to set you free, So you’d be here now with Me. ‘Cause I love you, My child. Come and stay here for awhile.” Verse 2: Some day we’ll each pass away. Where’s your hope on that day? In the One Who conquered the grave? If so, your life He will save. Chorus: Light breaks through and shines His rays Darkness has to flee away We’ll see Him face to face that day We’ll feel Him lift our heads and say: “There’s no more dying, no more tears, No more crying, no more fears. ‘Cause I died to set you free, So you’d be here now with Me. ‘Cause I love you, My child. Come and stay here for awhile— Forever, Amen. Forever, Amen. Repeat Chorus Tsogo Bone Keoreke was a genuine woman after Gods own heart. In her last message to me in early March, she shared how she was so eager to volunteer in prison ministry and Magala mentoring programme, etc and how she had a burning passion in her for missions. She was truly a burning ember for Christ, blazing with love for her Saviour and igniting those around her. She loved prayer meetings and fellowship, whether Unashamed, YFC, GodChasers, Warrior Women, 11pm-Midnight prayers at UB...etc. We are better for having known her, and we will carry on unashamedly chasing after God and making His love known, as she so beautifully did.
