. To anyone that banks at TD Bank. Your money is not safe nor is it insured by TD. I have or had a Business account at TD bank with myself and another (my partner now x partner ) as a signer on the account. On sept 8 I went into the bank And completed the necessary paperwork to have my x partner removed as a signer from the account. I was told 24 to 48 hours Max for this to take place. On the 18th of September I attempted to make an electronic transfer of funds from my business account to another account I had with TD. At which time I was denied And the reason I was told was because there was still two signers on the account. I immediately went to my local branch in Royersford and question the branch manager as to why 10 days later the persons name had still not been removed. At that time I was informed that the main branch kicked back my original request to remove him from the account on the 12th. Because one pertinent piece of paper was missing. I had provided it however when it was faxed over to the main office somehow this particular paper was not included???? However no one at the Royersford branch bothered to respond to the kick back nor bring it to my attention in a timely manner. In fact I brought it to theirs apparently. Had I not made the attempt to do an electronic transfer I may have never found out. Anyway. That day Thursday sept 18th when I went into the bank and found his name was still on the account the manager stated to me that he resent the proper documents to have his name removed and placed all kinds of red flags on the account as well as notified the head office/branch that no one other then myself could access the account and everyone at the local branch was made aware of this as well. I was going to withdrawal all the funds from the business account temporarily until the other persons name was officially removed from the account however the manager assured me over and over that it was not necessary that my money was safe and that there was absolutely no way my x partner could access the account or withdrawal any of the monies in the account. He ASSURED ME OVER and OVER. That Saturday another 48 hours later my x waltzed into the same TD bank branch that I was assured of wouldnt Allow him to do, not once but twice on Saturday the 20th and withdrew money from my account to the tune of 13,600. Once inside the bank and less then 20 minutes later at the drive thru for the second withdrawal by two different employees. Yet everyone was awAre he was no longer to have access to the account. Everyone was made aware according to the manager and there was absolutely no reason to worry I was assured and had his word my money would not be touched. When I questioned this on Sunday the same person manager could not believe this could have happened and could not offer me an explanation as to how or why this occurred. He was dumbfounded as was I. It took the bank until the 26th to finally remove my x partner from the account 18 days later 18 days following my original request 10 days from the second attempt and 16 from the time it was Kicked back. Now today over two months later I still have not been given my money back. The bank does not feel they were at fault. They claim that because the person that took the money claims it was used for paying matters related to my business that he had the right to withdrawal it and therefore the bank does not believe they are responsible to return the money to me the rightful business owner. As this person was still an active signer on the account. Why was he still an active signer. Because no one at TD bank is or was capable of performing as simple task of removing his name from MY account in a timely manner. 24-48 hrs. No more like 18-20 days . So because of there lack of knowledge or fortitude to do theyre jobs properly Im out close to 14,000. The bank of convenience. Convenient for whom. Me the business account holder of for those who help themselves to money that they no longer have the right to. Convenient for TD bank that anyone can access your account and if they say they used the money for something associated with the owners needs then why not help yourself. TD bank will decide if it was used properly or not and if they believe that is was then they are not responsible for your lose. To bad. The person that took youre money said he or she used it the way you would have liked them too so therefore you are not entitled to nor are we the bank accountable to give it back. Arent banks insured? isnt our money safe? dont you want to believe your money is where it should be when it should be when you need it.!!! And if someone is capable of accessing your account be it personal or business shouldnt the bank be responsible if your money is stolen. My money would have been safer in my back pocket. TD bAnk the convenient bank. Conveniently not responsible for your money bank. 18 plus days to fulfill my simple request that cost my the customer 13,600 of my hard earned cash!!!! Where does it end who should be held responsible The investigator for the bank said to me If we were to put the money back for you it would be a lose for the bank. Wtf. What about my lose. If you think Td bank should replace my money please like My story. If not and you believe I should not get my 13600 back then dislike my story. Thank you You commented on Jim Daywalts photo. .
