To be a coach in this town you really have to have a thick skin. To be the wife or child of a coach you have to have an even thicker skin. Im originally from Benton where we were sometimes sore winners and even worse losers. If we lost we were either in denial or were cheated. I say this as a compliment to my hometown because we celebrated every battle even if in the end we lost the war. Our kids work as hard as any kid in any town. Focusing on the successes may not change the outcome, but it would certainly make the effort more rewarding.
