To be clear & avoid confusion the palpable pain agony & frustration felt by so many = Hollywoods Academy tends to notice & acknowledge the brilliant gems -regardless of popularity (Blue Jasmine), whereas our beloved music Academy (of which I am a member) tends to completely ignore the gems & ONLY focuses on the uber popular -regardless of how good or bad they r. $$& is the ONLY thing driving the industry at the moment. Not art. It hasnt always been this way FYI, despite what good friend Zach Zisk-in says. In times past Grammys were given to amazing & influential talent and not just bread-winners.
