To be completely honest with you, with all the wedding preparations that have the bride and grooms’ schedules in knots before the big day, we don’t usually get the luxury to meet with them in person before then. But sometimes, we’d get a chance to meet them before the wedding day, and that’s a luxury we never take for granted. I got the privilege to get to know Andry and Angelique (or Enk, as she’s more affectionately known) a month before their wedding day. More than the chance to extract the juiciness of their love stories, I made two new friends. Two, new and wonderful friends. I’ve got to tell you, I don’t get to meet couples like Andry and Enk very often. I think that Enk is one of the funnest and natural bride I’ve ever had the privilege to shoot for. She’s kindhearted and funny and incredibly attractive. And Andry, he’s one of those goofily romantic guy that just won’t stop at nothing to express his love to his bride. Together they’re probably the most honest, transparent couple who appears just as they are and are amazingly comfortable with it. They just really blow my mind. They told me once, during one of our many meetings, that they wanted to have a fun video with a romantic twist, and you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way. One the day of their wedding, it really felt like we were shooting for a friend or a family. My team and I just felt so comfortable that even we would stop at nothing to get the best angles, the best shots, the best moments out of everything that happened during that day. And as I watched this video again, I can remember every single detail of the event, as if it ended only minutes ago. I can still smile ear to ear as I listen to their baby talk (which to this day the meaning is still lost to anyone but themselves). I can see the tortured look on Andry’s face at the gatecrashing and I can surely still feel that thump in my heart as they speak their vows to each other. Andry and Enk are one of a kind. And they are both amazing. A few days ago, Enk posted on her Instagram account that she’s still shedding happy tears as she watched her SDE video. Normally, I’d feel flattered and say just how rewarding it is for me to receive such praise for my work. But not this time. This time - it was all them. I am the lucky one to be given the chance to be there. Congratulations again Andry and Enk. You are a match made in heaven! Love, Garry
