To be successful doesnt mean you have to win everything you do in life. Its how you react, its how you respond, its how you carry yourself, its how you move on that makes you successful. I dont win all the time. Im not number one. I dont think Ive ever even been number one. Sure, Ive hit podium, Ive won medals. But those memories become just.... that. Memories. They become a small paragraph in my story. They are small stitches in my quilt. What Im writing is something far greater than first place. Something no hardware can give you. Its the appreciation of being able to fall down time after time but get back up. Fractured leg, fractured mind. You cannot stop me. Although I struggle internally and externally, Im good at not quitting. My quilt may have some skewed pieces of yarn but hey, at least I got one. Im lucky to have a story. Were all lucky to be able to do what we do. I want to create a legend. My story, as it unfolds has come quite clear that my success is based off of struggling but never letting it define me. Being better than staying down, whether you loose or win... Youre a champion when you get back up. See it. Believe it even when you dont believe in yourself.
