To change everything, we need everyone. So after several years - TopicsExpress

To change everything, we need everyone. So after several years of mostly wandering alone with my aspirations and ideals for developing a sustainable and more just way of life and having to hide it from certain individuals as they utterly failed to recognise my vision, Im really excited that there are two huge things happening in London over the next few months and feel vindicated with what I have been working towards! First up is the London branch of the global climate march taking place on the day of International Day of Peace - 21st September. This is the start of a build up of targeted actions to get governments to man the fk up and start addressing the issues in the lead up to the summit taking place in New York with Ban Ki Moon, the general elections next year and the Paris summit in Dec 2015 so that this time it isnt a case of too little, too late as happened at the Copenhagen summit. This time we want to shape the agenda and make sure gov know the people want action. We need your help in spreading the word to your networks about the March and dont want anyone to find out about it after its over. Its not a protest but a coming together of humanity on a global scale for a peaceful march to show we want leadership not denial from the powers that be. The 3rd planning meeting is taking place tomorrow at UCL 7pm if anyone is interested in helping to plan and organise the march - we have a scientists group, creative group (musicians, artists etc), youth/students outreach, masses of NGOs and more are coming together - it`s going to be huge and this time Avaaz are also a key part as they want to transfer offline campaigning into real actions on the ground. This is the kind of collaboration I have been dreaming about so I am slightly giddy this is finally starting to happen. Best of all I have met some truly kick ass and like minded people over the past few weeks and we all share a passion for making stuff happen and have set up our own separate action planning group (open invite). We did a speed dating version of brain storming ideas with the inspiring Avaaz team at Amnesty International UK HQ last week and it was really fun and sparked some great ideas. The energy in the room was tangible. I kept waking up with ideas spilling out of my head for days after. Secondly, there is a humanitarian conference taking place 4 October in central London to explore how we can use global collaboration to come together to drive the change we need and I am super excited about being asked to be a part of the team. The aim is to bring together people and organisations from all walks of life to brainstorm and develop a new way forward. Ambitious perhaps but absolutely necessary the way our corrupt govs are going. onepeopleoneworld.net/
