To-day we have come to the end of 2014, therefore I thought I would look back over the year. The year started with my surprise party and I can assure you it was the best kept secret! Thanks to everyone involved I had a great day. Opening day was in March and it was enjoyed by all who attended. All matches throughout the season were well fought. Even through as we drew to the end of the season some of the rinks went out short all teams done well. The senior team finishing 6th, junior team finishing 5th, midweek finishing 10th and the ladies finishing 11th in their respective divisions and leagues. Well done to all and thanks to President Ian and Lady President Mary for all their hard work. We had various friendlies and even had a trip to Portugal. All well enjoyed. On the social side the Zumba, Thursday Club, Bingo, 70s Night and Camel Racing were just a few of the events held at the club throughout the year. Thanks to everyone who helped and attended these events. This year seen us say goodbye to some long-standing members and I would wish them well in their future bowling careers. I would assure them of a warm welcome anytime they come to the club. Sadly we also recorded the deaths of some members and our thoughts are with their families at this time. At the AGM a new era arrived at Castleton. Women were elected to the committee and worst still a woman got the secretarys job!! and do you know the sun still shines and day till becomes night!!!!!!! Finally, with this being the 31st I would remind you of our final entertainment of the year. Andy D will dance us into 2015 and I hope you will find the time to join us there. Thanking you for all your support in 2014 and hoping we continue to have your support in 2015. Christina Ritchie Secretary
