To enable the Transported team to sustain delivery of the arts beyond the funded 3 years, one of their 5 key areas is to increase professional capacity: 4. Increasing Professional Capacity The stranded delivery approach enables artists and creative sector partners to develop their professional practice by taking on work, attending Go Sees, sector leader talks, shadowing or being mentored by commissioned artists, in their areas of interest. In addition, Transported will coordinate a continuing professional development (CPD) programme in partnership with local practitioners and specialist agencies, such as the University of Lincoln, informed by the experience of delivering Phase II. The CPD programme will be tailored around increasing existing skills and experience to build expertise, knowledge and capacity where it’s needed. I would like to suggest holding an online open space meeting, so that artists in each area can put forward their areas of interest so the CPD programme can deliver whats needed. As yet Transported have held no such meetings (to my knowledge). Please send your needs list to me by 12 August and I will forward on [email protected] I would then like to suggest that artists in the Boston and Spalding areas have the opportunity to attend a regular networking session with one of the Transported team present, in order for continuing communication to take place.
