To every lovely person that wrote to me on my birthday: thank you from the bottom of my heart for thinking of me! I spent the beginning half of my birthday working in the hospital I was BORN in! So crazy! Of course its not ideal to work on your birthday, but when your coworkers rush to get their work done and their patients tucked in and comfortable so they can put together a pizza/cake party for you at the stroke of midnight and your patients are genuinely thrilled that they get to spend part of your birthday with you and a homeless patient starts to get better and sings in the morning and then your parents put a candle in your french toast when you come home and all of your friends write to you, it ends up being more special than any party I could have planned. Thank you all. Love you to the moon and back! May all your days be as happy and kind as you are :)
