To every one concerned : I am absent from FB because I had a HUGE HUGE mess with the skunk encounter. I have it partially cleaned up. I am probably now to the point of what people would consider a a typical level of a skunk encounter. When Lilly got a hold of the skunk it was right on the steps of the deck. As she shook it like a toy rag doll the skunk was spaying the whole time .... The deck, the dog, the side of the house and foundation, the open windows all got sprayed heavily. This encounter could only have been worse if the skunk was actually in the house spraying. One of the problems was that the outside was so heavily sprayed that up until yesterday, it did no good opening windows because the outside air was worse than the inside air. Last night was my first full night of sleep because the winds have shifted and I am finally getting non skunk air into the house. The previous 2 nights it was sleep for 2 hours and then take a walk outdoors upwind to breath. Unforunatly becasue of Coyote and more skunk concerns I had to put lilly in the basement while I went to get De skunk supplies instead of leaving her out doors ...... which only made the problem worse. ( had I been less stressed and not puking over the deck railing every few minutes , I would have thought to wash her with my tomato sauce immediately, but I lost focus when I realized I had no tomato juice or peroxide in the house ) So I am fine .... Lilly is fine .... though even after 3 baking soda an peroxide / dawn baths still it quite odoriferous) But we are getting there and I will be very very very limited in my online time for a couple more days.
