To everybody, and especially my lawyer buddies, I promise this (unlike my earlier posts) is not an April Fools post: I have decided that working until midnight each night and working most weekends makes Cyndy a dull girl. I have double the files that I need at present and my other staff are full up with clients as well. So, Ive decided to advertise to hire a junior Family lawyer to work at our firm and take over 1/2 of my files - which is a full book of clients. Its time I practice what I preach about work/life balance. So please pass the word around about the position. Start date is flexible, as we will wait for the right person. We offer competitive salary, bonuses plus benefits with 100% medical coverage dental, and life insurance. Low targets with excellent work/life balance beyond lip service (except for the owner who is just now grasping this concept). All our clients are decent, no legal aid. We do however encourage at least one probono file each year per lawyer and as a firm we strongly encourage and support staff to give back to our community in ways that are meaningful to them. Work hours and work location is flexible, as we are set up to also work from home. Ideal position for someone with family commitments that do not fit well within a typical firm environment. Experience preferred.
