To everybody who has written me on Facebook with get well wishes.....Thank You!!! This is the first time since the accident I have felt well enough to get on here. So Im going to write what happened on here one time so I do not have to keep telling the story. On Thanksgiving day myself, Brandon, and our 3 kids were on our way to some families house to celebrate the holiday. About 2 miles from our house we were t-boned by a huge Dodge Ram Pickup truck. We were in my Grand Am which is a lot smaller than that truck. We were doing about 5 miles per hour and he was doing 60 when he hit us primarily in my drivers side door. I was knocked out immediately, which is probably a good thing considering my injuries. It took the Jaws of Life to get me out. I woke up 2 days later and was told what happened. I suffered a severe concussion, a broken ankle, a broken tibia which popped out of my skin, 6 fractures in my pelvis, 4 broken ribs, a broken collar bone, and tons of cuts and bruises which required staples in 5 different spots. Brandon suffered 3 broken ribs and a collapsed lung, and Justine suffered a broken collar bone. Thankfully Amaya and Tristen only had a little whiplash. I was in the hospital for 10 days of which 5 were spent in ICU. We are all so lucky to be alive!!! There is no doubt my mother was our guardian angel and watching over us that day, it could have been worse. I want to give a special thank you to my Aunt Susan Smiley, my Aunt Lisa Ellsworth, my grandma Ellsworth, and step mom Jamie Nelson who came to see me in the hospital and when I came home. We love you guys soo much!! They also brought some Christmas presents for my kids who without would not be getting anything this year because neither I or Brandon can work so we have no income right now. Also to my aunt Lori Kilbey who sent us a gift card, we appreciate it and love you so much. Its in these times who you learn who truly cares about you and who is there for you no matter what. We are very grateful to be alive and thank God for every day.......
