To everyone on here with your large, very healthy dogs over 12 months of age, have you ever considered letting your dog become a blood donor? Working in an emergency hospital for a large chunk of this year its amazing how many dogs need life saving blood transfusion, and sadly not enough people seem to know about it, or have just never considered it. Duke went and got tested today to see if he could become a blood donor, he got a free health check, we got to find out his blood type and we got a free heartworm test as well as lots of hugs and cuddles from all the students and nurses. I would like to proudly say that Duke has been given a clean bill of health and is able to become a blood donor. The dog that was on death row will now be able to save other dogs who desperately need help. If you ever considered it please go talk to your vets, its such a worth while cause :) (Hope this is ok to post admin)
