To everyone that prayed and thought of my family during the last week, I just want to say thank you! The Lord has once again blessed us - my sweet boy had his third open heart surgery on Tuesday and we were back home yesterday around 2:30 pm. He is a trooper! I know that your prayers lifted him up to the One that carried him through it. He only ask to go home, he never complained and was more patient and calm than his Mom. We had the opportunity to meet several families w/ sick babies at Duke and most are still there. Makes you realize how very thankful and fortunate we are. Please continue to pray for the families and children at Duke Hospital. I want to thank the wonderful nurses at the Duke Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care. They looked after my baby 24/7 and they are such a wonderful group of caring nurses. Meredith and Erica, and the two other nurses that worked w/ Erica thank you so much. Thanks to Dr. Lodge, Dr. Ann and Dr. Wechsler for the wonderful abilities you have that helped as Jake saysfix my heart. Thanks to all of the churches that had Jake on their prayer list. A special thanks to Triple Springs Baptist Church for your love and support. It was very much appreciated. Thanks to Deb and Jerry Graham, you made Jakes day. And thanks to my family, I love you and would not have made it through w/o you. Mom and Dad, I love you! And to my daughter Taylor, who gives me strength everyday with her text, hugs, sense of humor, and love, you are the best daughter in the world!
