To evoke a energy form of any kind is to call upon it and ask it to join you during ritual or a working. Whereas, Invoking, is a form of voluntary POSSESSION. When you invoke any form of energy form you are inviting it INTO yourself so that energy form will manifest through a human host. IF that energy form is a goddess archetype, for example, it will be FAR MORE POWERFUL than one human soul. It has been created over many thousands of years by all those who have gone before. For the inexperienced novice this can spell disaster, especially if the ritual leader has not had sufficient experience in possession rescue! IT IS A DISASTER waiting to happen. I see so many novice circle leaders (ie with only a few years experience of circles) encouraging their group members to invoke! If you are new to spiritual practices I SERIOUSLY advise you to hold off on invoking ANYTHING until you’re sufficiently experienced enough to be aware of what’s happening. It may be a good idea to focus instead on evoking the energy forces before you go inviting them TO TAKE CONTROL OF YOU even if it is just on a temporary basis.
