To help commemorate the 100th birthday of author / songwriter Alf Prøysen, one of Norways most important 20th century cultural figures, Kristin and I played some of his songs and read some of his childrens books to an assembly of flaxen haired natives down at the local library in Brønnøysund. It was quite fun, and very lucrative as well, if one can consider jelly beans and small rocks as remunerative. Perhaps Sarah Dougher and Nate Overmeyer will join us for songs at the library when they arrive here in August?
