To help end some of the violence that is ravaging the world, today, I suggest that all religious groups should amend their holy books and remove the parts that encourage people to fight for God against unbelievers. Every part of the Holy books that encourage hate should be removed. Yes, we can. The people, the followers of the different religious groups are the ones with the real power in these institutions and so, we have the power to demand for a change. Because without us, the churches and the mosques will be empty. Religion is made for man and not the other way round. Our religious groups are all good and beautiful, apart from the violence and hate. We can easily get the world to follow God/Allah; Mohammad/Jesus, if we can stop the hating and the fighting. So, its worth it, it will be heroic if we succeed. It will help in getting all of us to heaven. I mean, love is what God wants from us. Not hate. I strongly dont believe that God is happy seeing us kill one another just for his sake. He is God and he can do his own fighting. Im however, certain that he is disgusted seeing the blood we spill of our own brothers and sisters in his name. Granted, war is not all about religion, in fact, it has more to do with mans inherent tendency to fight for supremacy and for scarce resources; a religious veil is only, merely, used to mask the real intention most of these wars, this blood lost in mankind. But, when we remove the part played by religious hate, then well go along way in utilizing the power of religion to reign in on the part played by tribalism and mans tendency to fight and kill. Imagine how beautiful it will be if, instead of teaching, kill the infidels, the Islamic religious institutions start teaching, youll go to hell if you kill. İmagine how beautiful and peaceful, it will be if, instead of highlighting the somewhat violent old testament, the Christians start highlighting the love-Laden new testament, instituted by christ. I just finished reading a long newyorker article/documentary on the war, religious war, between the Selaka and the antibalaka in central African Republic, a once peaceful country, large enough to contain the paltry four million plus people of that country, and Ive decided to share this view on here. And I remember my guy, Dr Charles Uzor saying the same thing during our last debate on Facebook on a related issue. And I thank him for that. It was a brilliant comment which I unfortunately, misquoted. Guys, lets start a campaign. All Muslim and Christian intellectuals must play a part. We must unite to tell the leadership of our respective religious institutions that enough is enough. We have to let them know that religious violence is the main reason that atheism and other godless ideals are flourishing. We have to let them know that religion will be a thing of the past, if we fail to create lasting peace amongst us. Satanism is on the rise. Only love amongst all Gods people will stem it. How do we run the campaign, guys? I suggest, an online forum that will enable us reach out to the hearts and minds of the people and start the revolution there This was lucky Dubes wish when he sang different colors Lets honor our hero.
