To keep many of you updated, because Im overwhelmed by the amount of messages coming through... I have hired a local vet, who has come today, and you have to laugh, was a bit overwhelmed by the scale of the job (was expecting 3 or 4 rabbits, despite being told otherwise) and is returning once he has had a chance to clear up his schedule. This visit is to firstly assess the condition of many of the rabbits which have been injured in the attack. It was just not practical for me to take 40 rabbits to a vet, placing them in extra stressful conditions. I also needed clear documentation and proof of the injuries in context to my situation for any possible legal consequences. Hopefully, upon his return,I will be able to administer pain medication to the many who are now showing signs of distress. Rabbits are remarkable at hiding illness ect, and despite being further from the day of the incident, each days seems to be uncovering more problems and not less.
