To love God and to love Christ we have also to love each other. This is not some warm fuzzy feeling for each other but the proper care and concern for the welfare of others; esteeming others better than ourselves. We should cry with those who grieve and rejoice with those who rejoice. We should suffer with and comfort those who hurt. Pray for each other and be content with where we are, what we have, and begrudge others nothing. Our attitude is therefore very important and is a determining factor in whether or not our offerings will be acceptable to God. We cannot take the giving of our offerings light-heartedly. We must sincerely consider our spiritual condition.
