To me there are two types of social issues. The ones that directly effect your life and the one that do not. In America we face people who stand for belief and those who stand for rule of law. Often, those two principles are confused as both. The United States constitution really is still a beautiful governing work of art. It stops those radical movements that gain steam to change laws based on passion. Dont believe me? How many stupid laws have been passed by the house and ratified by the senate? Only a few. The unconstitutional that have been passed face years of judicial scrutiny and are often overturned. While this system of keeping authoritarianism and anarchy serves as a balance, the only way you can convince any American to rise up is to show how those balances are directly effecting their lives. And in most cases it doesnt happen
