To my FRIENDS on FB, I have been helping out a friend of mine now for the last few months deal with severe illness. We went to the ER one day when she called me in so much pain after a four month period of time after a simple out patient surgery that she never got relief from and the pain actually spread and the Dr. did nothing but to say see someone else. Never checked it out. Before or after surgery. Xray wise. Only saw her one time after surgery 2 week follow up. I didnt even recognize her voice. Called wrong person back. Had to look at caller ID. I took her to a different hospital on her okay. They checked her in ER. Found stage 3 A cancer of left lung with metasassis to limp nodes under arm. Huge tumor. Almost as big as whole upper lobe. Attached to plural lining. Necrotic. Excruciating pain. Was admitted for six days. Came home to wait. Insurance had to okay new tests, meds, Dr., etc.she never got relief from pain. I took her to a specialist. She got accidosis. Then fever 101, on antibiotics. Thrush. More meds and Dr.s. Then ER Hypoklynemia. Dehydration. ER again. Fluids. Finally okay for a PET scan to see if OR can be done or if chemotherapy and radiation can be started. PET SCAN done. Cardiothroracic surgeon appt made so he could read it to determine results. Went to Austintown. Dr. didnt take her insurance after all that time waiting. Its already been two months with nothing done for her cancer. Tell me what would YOU have done? Yeah I did. We found out that he couldnt do surgery because she had metasassis to limp nodes in arorotic area also. Now we could get chemotherapy and radiation started. We had to see new Dr at Hope center for cancer care in Howland so when we saw her she started her on a lot of new pain, nausea, antinausea, stomach meds and wanted her to have a week of radiation before chemotherapy started. Well she had to see radiation Dr then get MARKED. Then wait til the right casting was made for her. She had two radiation treatments the week before. This last Monday she went for her first chemotherapy. They infiltrated four times got her last vein. Then went for a PIC line. So she missed radiation that day for that reason. She has had chemotherapy and radiation everyday since. Yesterday she was not doing well. I asked them at both places when I told them she was not doing well to check her. They didnt. I checked her. I told them her temp normally runs very low at 96.4 and it was going up then 98.7. She has home visiting on Thursday now for drsg. change for PIC line so thats good. She called me at both7:25am with temp of 102.9. I called Dr then home health care because they were going to come and show me how to flush PIC LINE everyday today because the supplies arrived. Now an hour and a half have gone by and no Dr has called. Nurse called back in 10 minutes. I called my friend thinking they called her by mistake. NO. I do take care of ALL calls since shes on so much medication and doesnt really know anything about medicine and cant remember and does get confused and ADGITATED at times. So I had her take her temp again 102.5. Called Dr again. She said - no one called? No. She said different Dr on now and she would page her. She called back in ten minutes. Told her to go to ER. She didnt answer so I called her boyfriend and he didnt answer so I called her again then him. He finally answered. I said did you get my message? I left message on both their phones that Dr said to go to ER. He said he didnt. He said her temp is down to 98 now. Now its been EIGHTEEN MINUTES. NO TYLENOL. < 4.5 * sorry if Im a skeptic, I do believe in miracles, happen to be one. BUT Im typing away here to ask for YOURE PRAYERS FOR MY FRIEND CYNDIE. Shes in ICU at St. Joe.s after 8 hrs in ER. I tried and tried to call her and him. Just got tired of the voice mail. Called ER. Then ICU myself. Take the bull by the horns. Want something done right do it yourself. The reason insurance didnt cover CT surgeon should never have happened, mess up at Dr office. They had plenty of time to know what Dr covered on her plan. This country and insurance healthcare is a fraudulant mess. Its pitiful. I cant even see to drive I have a migraine so bad and havent been able to get my migraine meds which are nonnarcotic for two months now because of the WONDERFUL GOVERNMENT AND WORKERS COMPENSATION. So I cant be with her tonight but I know shes in good hands now. Please pray for a miracle for GODS WILL. I just want Cyndie to know the peace of the LORD. She cried a little for the first time on Thursday. She needs to release some of her anger and grief and shock and just so much shes holding in. Thank you.
