Because therewere no East coast nuts last year, the price for pecans this year is going to be higher. Im not begging for business. We were asked to do this. If this offends anyone, I will delete it. Hey Ashtabula! Ready for some NC pecans? (Chadbourn, NC) There werent pecans anywhere, last year, except from the Southwest, Texas & California, due to rain during pollination. In stores, the nuts you buy each holiday season were harvested a whole year before you purchase them. Did you know that? They are treated with chemical fertilizers, chemical pesticides, bathed in a bleach-like solution, dyed to look presentable & then, packaged in plastic, for a long ride to warehouses to wait a year. Want to try something wonderfully different this year? Try some Landmark Farm pecans! Im a Conneaut girl, transplanted South, many years ago. It looks like we have lots this year! No chemicals at all, no fertilizers or insectacides. No chemicals at all! 2012 was an AWESOME year for us! We sold between 8,000 - 10, 000 lbs of beautiful nuts. The taste is far superior to store-bought pecans, too. We had some gorgeous nuts that year and are expecting them to be even better this year. There were so many that a five gallon bucket could be picked up in about 20 minutes. Nuts in shells, $3.00 + postage. This year, we are offering nuts with cracked shells for you to finish shelling for $7.50 lb. + postage, and shelled nuts for $9.50/lb + postage, all ready for your pies and baked goods. We are considering rent a small U- Haul truck this year, if we have enough orders, to bring bins of nuts to you. You can pick out your own nuts, in shells! We will provide scales and paper bags. If enough loose nuts are ordered, wewill just bringthe cracked nuts, and completely shellednuts with us, for pick up in Ashtabula, Conneaut & surrounding areas. Tell all of your friends!
