To my darling wife Raeleen, I hope you have a wonderful 60th birthday. Over the years you have filled a multitude of roles; you have altered, designed and made many pieces of clothing, applied make-up on many occasions, cut 100’s of heads of hair (even in tears on one memorable occasion), been a superb and at times adventurous cook, designed and built gardens and planted thousands of plants, stripped cars down and helped build gearboxes, suspension systems and a stack of other mechanical parts, you’ve been a carpenter, a house painter, a photographer, a nurse, a confidante but more than anything you have been a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunty, mother, mother-in-law and wife. Over this past year of my health dramas you have been an absolute angel. Not once have you lost your temper, shown your frustration or hesitated in any way to help me, even when I have been down, annoyed or irritated which has been often. Your laughter is infectious and one wonderful trait that you inherited from your lovely mother – a real and sincere caring and kindness for others and their welfare. You are my best friend, my soul mate and the person I want to grow old with….
