To my extreme sadness, Schoep, the germanshepard mix dog whose owner,John, would take into the lake everyday to ease his arthritis pain, has passed. You probably remember the famous pic of the two, as it went viral about a year ago. Schoep was 20 years old. His owner John, received so many donations as a result of the story, that John started a foundation to help other pet owners who can not afford medical treatment for their furbabies.
