To my fans & friends, it saddens me to announce that when the new season of ‘What’s My Car Worth?’ appears on Velocity in a few months you will not see me as a part of it. Although it was not my decision to leave the show, in a search for a younger demographic the show’s producer, sponsor and the Velocity channel have decided to change the format of the program. I have been replaced in the episodes currently shooting with a young comic, formerly of the ESPN X-Games. I have been continually grateful for the many comments I have heard from you in the past few years about how much you have enjoyed the way I shared my knowledge, experience and enthusiasm with you in a way which taught you something about the cars we encountered. While much of automotive ‘reality’ programming moves to a predictable format of ‘entertainment’ at all costs I am certain that by your comments that you and many million others seek more. You should all know that I have taken that to heart and as I actively work on the development of a number of new television projects rest assured that the next time you see me it will be in a program which showcases my talent in a way which will make you all very happy. Watch this space for more news as it happens!
