To my friends on Facebook worldwide - Israel is getting hammered in the media, which focuses only on numbers killed and wounded. Here are some numbers: terrorists have fired over 700 rockets into Israel in the last few days; since 2005 (when Israel withdrew from Gaza as part of a peace deal) theyve fired 8,000. EIGHT THOUSAND ROCKETS, all aimed at civilians. Please share this and help us make the world understand - we only want quiet. But we must defend ourselves. Dont criticize us for that. Ours is the most moral army in the world: we give notice before attacking certain areas because we are not interested in taking lives - only in destroying rocket launchers. The launchers are embedded deep within civilian populations purposefully, by Hamas, which gives no thought to the number of Palestinians killed. With all the rockets launched against Israel, the only thing that keeps the number of killed and wounded low is the Iron Dome system. How absurd that for the world to understand Israels right to defend itself, the number killed on the Israeli side would have to be higher! The world cannot condemn Israel for defending the millions of civilians under threat of constant rocket attack.
