To my friends posting of this photo, I made this comment: The Sri Yantra is worshipped by Hindus as a symbolic representation of the Divine Mother, and is considered to be literally a form of the Divine Mother. In Hinduism (in some schools), the Divine Mother is not considered merely an intermediary or a secondary deity, but rather the all-powerful Creator of the entire universe of names and forms. She (some call her Kali) is like the Author, Producer, Director and Projector of the entire universal movie; Her will alone prevails in every moment. She has written, designed and willed everything into manifestation. THEREFORE... posting this photo and asking Who made this, human artists or aliens? is a bit like posting a Da Vinci self-portrait and asking, Who painted this, Rembrandt or Cezanne? The Divine Mother herself created this, along with every other phenomenon. The question of whether she used humans or aliens as her carving tools only succeeds in hiding her authorship of everything, and she loves to keep that hidden! But sometimes, if you keep your eyes open, you can see her signature clearly written on one corner the universal movie screen. One example: About 10 years ago there was a small article in the NY Times, reporting that a US senator and representative had cosponsored a bill denying global warming and preventing laws aimed at restricting corporate polluters. The names of the co-sponsors: Representative Doolittle and Senator Delay. And there in the down right corner of the screen, for a fraction of a second, for those with eyes to see, the signature Kali flashed upon the screen, accompanied by a hint of hysterical laughter... And so, whoever the artists may have been: humans, angels, gods, aliens... all I can say is Awesome work, Kali!!
