To my grandmother Sandra Adinaro, you are easily one of the most loving genuine and generous people that ever was and ever will be. A rare breed that cut through all bullshit when asking how I was, took me in and loved me like only you could. You taught me to garden and gave me anything and everything I needed even if I didnt say I needed it. You made my life bearable and made me a better person. You let me make mistakes of my own and and talked to me about it after. Never hated me or told me I was doing the wrong thing you let me figure it out. We had the most special of bonds that ranged from crying together when sad and laughing together, talking into the light bearing hours. Caring for you was the greatest honor and character building experience of my life. You and pop taught me what family was and showed me the way by example when lost. I love you more then a sick person loves their medicine and you will forever stay in my memory. I will tell stories of you and pass on your sense of right and wrong to all generations I am fortunate enough to bring forth into this world. The way you made me feel safe is it comparable to any other gift when it comes to someone who never feels safe. Sleep softly with angels high above and never feel pain remotely similar to what you experienced this time around. I was there with you and saw you off and for that I am great-full. Your absence is similar to a lack of oxygen but I will make sure pops ok you know that. You took no shorts and knew how people should be treated regardless of race color creed or gender, for that you will for all of my time be a most honored hero and activist. I kept my biggest promise and never let you fall....... Goodbye my hero and extra mom.
