By using the Deztreza’s Prior knowledge of Proactive and Reactive training. This is essential during an announced and unannounced attack. Attacks can come from nowhere. Often there were warning signals that were ignored. Your pride is your enemy. Not knowing the limits of your system and not adapting. Is a sad thing. We have a saying “Un Pendejo Menos”. We train to specialize in functioning correctly under great duress. By entering the Masters Circle and learning the process of psychological rehearsal. This task relays on the Incredible Importance of Breathing. Let me explain: The brain has a feedback loop. The Fear stimuli is a surprise attack. Fear triggers a fight or fight response. Which triggers the adrenalin. Which makes the heart race. Which requires more oxygen. Which requires faster breathing. Which makes the heart race even faster. Which requires faster breathing. Which accelerates the loop. The loss of cognition is a simple matter of body chemistry. The major mental effects tied to the “fight or flight” response are caused by changes in your blood chemistry. The hyperventilation event is our great problem. It reduces the carbon dioxide concentration of the blood to below its normal level. One is expiring more carbon dioxide than being produced in the body. Thereby raising the blood’s pH value initiating constriction of the blood vessels. Which supply the brain. The constriction prevents the transportation of oxygen and other molecules. Which are necessary for the function of the nervous system. Breathing too quickly, lowers CO2 levels. Which switch your brain automatically into emergency mode. Higher brain functions shut down. There’s no Critical thought process. Your subconscious or reflexive mind takes over. If you are not trained properly and if you breathe too much and too quickly. The whole system reboots. You faint. Hyperventilation is your enemy! Remember our Escala system teaches to react and not to think first by holding your breath. The second stage is learning to breathe. So you can think and act correctly. Preparing the way for multiple armed opponent training. When you walk the Masters Circle it lowers your duress by understanding and by deliberately slowing down the breathing rate. This is often referred to as 5-5 breathing, because an inhalation is stretched out to take 5 seconds, and the exhalation is slowed to take 5 seconds. The 5-5 breathing is designed to reverse the effects of hyperventilation. The right breathing depends on your size, weight, fitness level and activity. Now let’s talk about fear. Fear is not an enemy it’s a gift. Learn to anticipate the adrenalin dump by correct and specific understanding of Deztreza. Reboot to get the monkey off your back and breathe to become an Alpha.
