To our American friends and friends in America: We would like to show our appreciation especially for those who have shown their concern for the protest taking place in our home, Hong Kong, China, and to invite you to pray unceasingly. It has been half a month since the protest known by the foreign media as The Umbrella Revolution began, but the government has kept ignoring the voice of the people fighting for real democracy by postponing the negotiation with the leaders of the protest, so as to create the illusion that the protesters have been selfish in sacrificing the convenience of the public for their personal ideals. Just now, we have learnt that the police once again cleared the spots for the protest using violence. It had originally been reported on the TV channel, but was soon deleted, simply because the TV channel is being censored. Someone has put this on youtube. Though it is in Chinese, you will see what was happening - one of the protesters was handcuffed and taken to a dark corner, where several policemen kept beating and kicking him. Hong Kong people have different opinions about the protest, and some are even revolted by it, but this kind of violence is unforgiveable.
