To preach evangelism and redemption one-half the time and justice and righteous government the other half is to preach the full-gospel. Leave one out and you have the social gospel; the other, and you have the evangelical tunnel. Jesus did not come to start a new religion; heaven forbid. He did not come to destroy an old religion. He came to redeem fallen man from sin, and teach the new god-man, (Christian) how to live and change the world to be the world God wants it to be. Each generation is responsible for advancing this mission. Our founders (American) chiseled out from the bible our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. When accused of being rich, white, slave owners, then they were the wisest of any before their time, or after their time, as they established the greatest truth in any government on earth today: “We hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men are CREATED equal, and are ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR with certain inalienable rights, among which are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” In following after William Wilberforce and Great Britain, America has done more to eliminate slavery here and around the world than any other nation; Not just physical slavery, but also political and governmental tyranny. That is the gospel we preach; that is the God we serve; that is the Christ who commissioned us. This mission will be accomplished. The world will hear the gospel. Iran will hear the gospel; North Korea will hear the gospel; Saudi Arabia will hear the gospel. Jesus Christ is the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. Every knee shall bow to Him.
