To remove all barriers - The spirit of the Order of Malta summer camps for young disabled Summer, 2014. For the Order of Malta, summer is camps for disabled young and a chance for members and volunteers to offer their services - unique enriching experience for all. Examples: HOLLAND: 31st Order of Malta International Summer Camp ‘Friendship in freedom!’ Dutch are hosts - disabled young aged 18-35. 500 people, 20 countries. 9-16 August. LEBANON: Nine summer camps in Sourat north of Beirut German, British, Dutch volunteers plus Lebanese contemporaries. Great activities week for guests with physical / mental disabilities from hospitals /specialised centres. First camp: 29 June, last ends 11 September. ITALY: Guests gather near Bologna ‘Remove all barriers.’ Order of Malta’s three Italian Grand Priories plus the Relief Corps. Now on - in Ozzano, 28 July-3 August. Guests share fun, friendship, spirituality. Camp grows every year 2014 - 40 guests, 70 volunteers, 10 kitchen staff (2013-90 total). UKRAINE: In the Carpathians Mountains, 15th annual camp, north Europe young disabled ‘Ukraine, dream! – to dream of a new, joyful, happy and peaceful Ukraine, where everyone can find their way, to realise their full potential.’ 29 June-6 July. Guests -Ukraine, Byelorussia, Russia, Germany - mountain walks, firstaid courses, dolls carving, cooking. Sang, prayed, enjoyed themselves hugely.
