To say that God is sovereign means that he is above all, that he rules above all, and that when he determines to do his will, none can ultimately thwart him because theres no one that matches him in glory, theres no one that matches him in power, theres no one that matches him in majesty. Sovereignty doesnt mean that everything that happens is what God wants. There are things that happen that God doesnt want, like sin. The Bible says people are responsible and God is sovereign. We only see his predestined plan in the rearview mirror, not in the windshield.
