To serve what Sir? Did you join to pervert the law by serving a corrupt leader beholden to interests unknown to you or the people who elected him? Did you join to serve a single person or did you join to serve an ideal? If you joined because of an ideal, then no amount of training should extinguish that idealism and no amount of twisting the truth will cleanse your heart of the knowledge when that idealism is betrayed by those you choose to serve without question.
