To the Honorable Marketing Director Islamabad SUB: Request for sponsorship for the “ 1st South Asian Health Awareness Walk” (Distance: Approx. 9,200 KM on foot across 8 Nations) Dear Sir, With due reverence, it is stated that I, Kharlzada Kasrat Rai, am an International Level walker, and have successfully completed SEVEN Walks on different humanitarian causes in accordance with the international standards and parameters. My last walk was from Karachi to Makkah with a total of 6,387 KM traveled by foot in 117 days for the cause of Global Peace . After the above said achievement, my vision inspires me to undertake the “1st South Asian Friendship Walk” (Walk for Health). This walk will inspire the South Asian countries of Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan to restructure the Health Care industry to nurture our people with a more integrative approach. The goal of this walk is to provide a smooth transition of the health related MDGs into the SDGs. We will hold workshops and conferences along the way of the walk to show that the people of Pakistan are putting in their effort of achieving the SDGs and contributing to the SAARC vision. With this Walk we hope to achieve recognition for Pakistan and will image Pakistan as the nation working on development of the region. As the next SAARC Summit will be held in Pakistan, we need to highlight the soft image of Pakistan regardless of the current situation by giving back more to the South Asian Region. You can be an agent for change in this historical movement as I journey across the South Asian Nations. Not only would I be advocating this cause through my every step but I will also attempt to set and break up to at least two world records in every country. Alongside, there will be at least 5 seminars/workshops per country in my set preplanned checkpoints to set a platform for the health related projects that are to follow the walk. In order to benefit the masses as we would need your help in any form ranging from publicity, finances, or even man power. NOTE: Once the walk is completed, I will write a book that will include my story and shall recognize any partners, coalitions, supporters, and sponsors. This book will be launched internationally.
